It had to happen one day...
Finally, I saw a Weeping Angel that i really found horrific...

I had missed one episode of Sam Bee's Satire show "Full Frontal" and have just watched Episode 17 (the Brexit one)... One of the pieces dealt with Brexit and featured a cameo by David Tennant reading out loud scottish tweets to Donald Trump who had the gall to speak in Scotland (which overwhelmingly voted "stay" and wasn't amused in the least that the result was "leave"). At the end of this segment Sam appealed to the US voters to register and to go voting in November... and... whatever you do... Don't blink.
Then this picture appeared on screen.

Isn't that scary? :D

Re: You don't have missed out on much

No problem, Weeping Don was the first really extraordinary bit in half a year and that only because of the use of Dr Who.

Actually Sam's Show has a bit of another Canadian Pick I've just made from current TV... "Private Eyes", a Toronto based crime procedural featuring Jason Priestley of Beverly Hills 90210 fame. I DO like the series for its atmosphere and cast, but it is pretty "90-ish" and tame when compared to current US made series and even features more "romance" sideplots than Rosewood that already got lots of flak for its "distractedness"... And it doesn't even manage to want me to see them "get together"... (But then I watch mindboggling numbers of british crime procedurals and 3/4 of those have a 60/70es feeling to them like old "Tatorts" if not even older "charm")

Full Frontal is similar... it compares favorably to US satire programming from 15 years ago but is not quite up par to 2016 style programming...

Re: You don't have missed out on much

I never watched any of the things you mention (no, not ever Beverly Hills), but I don't think I'll watch Bee's show anyway.

Poor Canada though.

Re: You don't have missed out on much

Hey don't look at me, I surely haven't watched BH90210 either, actually neither the old one nor the 2010-ish revival ...
